Cisco live animation

Cisco Live is an annual tech event hosted by Cisco around the world. This year the theme was, “Turn IT up.” This year, my task was to take the following graphic created by my team and animate it for promotional marketing materials and digital screens around the event venue.

Trying to show a few different concepts of how we can animate the graphic.

Quick rough drafts

I used Procreate to create some quick frame by frame animations to get a better picture of where we wanted to go with the graphic.

Missing the mark

These are a couple concepts that I submitted to our Creative Director for approval. After more reviews, these weren’t really hitting the mark. The vision was to create these graphics and make them feel like they’re ‘exploding’ out of the page. So I went back and started exploring more options.

Final Draft

This concept was based on inspiration from ‘Starwars’ and the spacecrafts going into lightspeed. We really wanted to create a explosive feeling as though you’re moving through and into the graphic as it comes to you. This was the final version that we delivered to our client.

Bonus content

Every year, few of us Art Directors get to throw our names in the hat for trying to execute the vision for Cisco live’s new theme and the graphic that goes along with it. These were some of my concepts that I submitted. It did not get selected in the end but worth a shot!
