We started a coffee company
My roommate and I base our productivity on good coffee. Amid the pandemic, we found a lot of time in our hands so we decided to start our own coffee business, Montañas Coffee Co. We found roasters to partner with in the US that import coffees from all around the world. We would order samples, taste all the coffee and select our favorite beans that we want to sell and put up on our store. Aside from the business and logistics of it all, I was to design a full brand around our coffee for marketing purposes.
Package design
Eventually we’d like the design to be on the entire package but we had to work within a 6x4in label with the current printing company. Since it’s a very small space to work in, the design of the package is very simple and modern. Lots of negative space in the design to allow the text to be as big as possible so it’s easily legible.
Each bean has a splash of color dedicated to it so it’s easily distinguishable when they live next to each other.
Website design
Very simple and straightforward web design. The goal was to make it as easy as possible for users to add coffee to cart and checkout.
Social Media
Social media is a very important tool in our age. We made an instagram for our coffee and started posting content even before launch to draw some engagement and excitement.
Launch post
Series of graphics created to post on our instagram when we launched our site

We also shot and edited a short video clip of us making Montañas Coffee to promote our Tanzania coffee beans, “Lil Comfort.”
